Triratna Day: A Wave of Blessings

Triratna Day: A Wave of Blessings

Saturday 3 April 2021 4am – 10pm

On April 6th 1967 Bhante Sangharakshita founded what was to become the Triratna Buddhist Community.

54 years later, this event will both look back at the legacy that Bhante has left us and also look forward – how do we keep it alive and keep the blessings flowing?

A Wave of Blessings has the sense of building on something that’s already in motion. It also ties into the idea of the day being a wave of blessings starting in Oceania and moving its way around the globe. This wave of blessings is also Bhante’s Adhisthana spreading out from the burial mound across the world, like the waves from a pebble dropped into a pond.

Throughout the day, centres around the world will be hosting online events. Each event is a collaboration to some extent with Adhisthana and by so doing creating a bridge or connection between our geographical areas.
