Qigong is a deeply relaxing and enjoyable experience that complements your meditation practice in offering a way of feeling more connected to your body, enhancing your concentration and calming a busy mind. These classes offer you a comprehensive, authentic and interactive experience of Qigong with certified and experienced teacher as your guide.

These classes are being offered as part of our fundraising for Vijayloka. The charge for each class is $25 fee with all funds going to the fundraiser.

What is qigong?

Qigong is an ancient form of Chinese medicine and movement meditation that combines mindful movement routines with breathing techniques to help bring about a state of calm, ease and increased energy.

"Qi" is a Chinese word meaning "vital energy" and "Gong" meaning "cultivation".

Do I need any previous qigong experience?

No, the class will be suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.

Do I need to be physically fit?

All the forms are conducted standing up for the class duration, so a basic level of fitness is required.

What should I wear and should I bring anything?

Wear loose fitting clothing that will allow you to move easily, and bring a water bottle. It is also a good idea to not have a big meals for around 2 hours before the class.

How much does the class cost?

The cost for the class is $25 and booking is essential.

Normally we do not charge a fixed price for our classes, but this class is being offered by someone in our community to help us raise funds for our retreat centre renovations.

All our main meditation classes remain by donation.
