Oceania Order Convention: Cultivating a Garden in the Wilderness

“When the mind inclines to ardour, devotion, perseverance and striving……..growth is assured!” 

What are the conditions that aid spiritual growth individually and collectively? How does this relate to us participating in the “Life of the Order”? Through, study, discussion, meditation and with reference to the Cetokhila Sutta, we will collectively explore what this may mean for us. Does our approach need to change in the current environment of climate change, gender diversity. By coming together with a strong sense of what unites us, we will cultivate a garden in the wilderness.

We will run the Convention residentially and virtually.  This means you can attend in person at Vijayaloka or via zoom.

The residential Convention will be capped at  47 people due to Covid limitations and your responses will be used to ensure we have a good distribution of people from various centres. We will advise you if you have a place on the residential event or are on the waiting list.

Current CoVidSafe protocols at Vijayaloka.

As of February 2022, the CoVid Safe protocols are as follows:

• Retreatants to have a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) prior to coming on retreat, & must be a negative result.
• Day 3 RAT test.
• Retreatants need to be fully vaccinated: (3 doses)

Payment and dietary requirements will be requested around 11th April (As we know things can change at short notice!)  If you require financial assistance to attend, please contact us, as we would like to make it possible for anyone to attend where possible.

Day attendance:

The convention is residentially smaller  to be CoVid Safe.  As a result, it is unlikely we will have day attendance. This may change closer to the time.
