New Year Pūjā
Wednesday 31 December
This year to celebrate New Years Eve we be holding two pūjās. Just like the New Years Eve fireworks, there will be an earlier shorter session, and a later longer session which will take us through past midnight:
- First session: Arrive 8:15pm for an 8:30pm start. This session will be a standard sevenfold pūjā, which will last around 45 minutes to an hour.
- In between the two sessions (roughly 9:15pm to 11pm) we will have relaxed socialising time. Bring snacks, board/card games and whatever else you'd like for a couple of hours hanging out.
- Second session: Arrive in plenty of time for an 11pm start (no later than 10:55pm). This session will be a bodhicaryāvatāra pūjā (for those not familiar, it uses many of the same sections from the sevenfold pūjā but is longer and more elaborate) which will last around an hour to an hour and a half. This will mean we will be practicing pūjā as the new year begins.
Come to either session or both!
