Friday 9 August – Sunday 18 August at Vijayaloka Retreat Centre in Minto Heights
“…be calm, as in an empty house the raindrops slowly gather…”
Participants joining this meditation retreat will enjoy all the benefits of practice among fellow practitioners in the rustic bushland environment of our Vijayaloka retreat centre perched on an escarpment above the pristine reaches of the upper Georges River.
As we gradually move into silence, we will read and reflect together on the sage advice given by the great 8th century Indian master, Padmasambhava in his Advice Given the Three Fortunate Women Before the Departure*. This is meditation and practice advice which ranges over pressing matters of life and death including impermanence, taking Refuge, the questions of effort and no effort, excitement and passivity, neither accepting nor rejecting and insight born of the realisation of our own true nature.
This is an invitation and a challenge! If you have an established meditation practice and have attended Triratna retreats before, come and join us.
