Sangha Walk for Women
Sunday 13 October 11am – 2:30pm
Come for a walk with Anita and Khemayogini to enjoy some lovely bush and harbour views. We’ll meet at Taronga Zoo Wharf at 11am, walk to Bradley’s Head and then around to Chowder Bay, along one of the nicest stretches of bushland on the north side of the harbour. It’s a mostly level bush track (not pavement) but does have three or four sets of steps to climb.
After gathering and saying hello, we’d like to set off in silence, and stop for a short meditation at one of the little beaches along the way. Carrying on to Chowder Bay, we’ll stop to eat and enjoy conversation there, and on the way back. You probably know that slowing down, taking time out and connecting with nature is really good for you. But did you know that a chemical (phytoncides) released by trees and plants boosts your immune system?
Bring your own lunch, and remember a hat, water and good shoes for walking. If you have an Opal Card, Sunday travel is capped at $2.80 for all day travel, so it’s a good deal for two ferry trips!

If you can’t make it this time, we hope to see you at our next walk!
