Yoga is a great complement to the meditation practices taught at our centre. Yoga invites you to move consciously while connecting to your breath. It helps to slow our minds down, bring awareness inwards and facilitates the stillness required for meditation.
The class are open to all, regardless of experience, age, shape, size and ability, and is by donation. Our yoga teachers run this class on a voluntary basis as a way of expressing the spirit of generosity we aim to embody at Sydney Buddhist Centre.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book?
No, just turn up!
What should I wear?
Wear something loose-fitting that will be comfortable for you to move in.
Do I have to bring my own yoga mat?
No, we provide all yoga props for this class including mats. They are second-hand but kept clean by cleaning them regularly. Feel free to bring your own if you wish or bring a towel to cover the mat.
How much does the class cost?
There is no fixed cost but instead we invite you to make a donation to the centre to help us cover our running costs.
A donation of $10-15 would help us to cover our costs, but everyone is equally welcome, even if you cannot give anything at all.
